Has anyone here attended a Catholic college or university? I got invited to attend one for a music program. It seems like a nice place very small with sixty students.

I will be attending a Catholic University starting this coming Monday actually. I'm studying for a degree in social work, and it's between this school and UTSA here. I've spent one semester in UTSA (although this had been 10 years ago) and didn't like it. But after recently attending several events at this other school (OLLU), I wanted to go there. I learned that the classes are smaller, and it also seems the people there are friendly and very helpful. It's also in general just a nice atmosphere just being there. I won't be living on campus, but I'm really looking forward to starting classes there. *smile*

I am a second semester freshman, and I attend a Catholic College. The campus population is between 1500 and 2000. Everyone there is extremely generous and helpful. I haven't encountered assholes and pricks like I did in high school. The atmosphere at my college is familial and loving.
I hope you enjoy the program.

One thing to note with catholic (or any religiously funded schools). If the school does not accept any government fnding (student loans/grants), which is sometimes the case with catholic schools, it is not entirely clear that they have the obligation to be accessible nder section 508. Just make sure the DSS office is there, and there is willingness and obligation to make sure you get your instructional material in accessible format, and there are arrangements in place to make sure you can actually have access to your classes and succeed.

I went to a secular school, but would have liked to go to a Catholic college. Good luck with your studies, and hope the students and staff are helpfull and accepting. If the school has an honor code, try to live by it. It'd suck to get expelled for an honor code violation.
